Welcome to the Winbarg Cottage

This Mediterranean style "frame and stucco cottage" was designed in 1923 by the famous architectural firm of Favrot and Livaudais from New Orleans for E.B. Winbarg (pronounced "wine-burg), an early merchant in the Natchitoches, Louisiana area. The home was then purchased in 1965 by Alex E. Sompayrac, a prominent French farmer, and remained in the Sompayrac family until Billy and Becky Barton purchased the property in September 2003.
