The Aileen-Keran Room

The Aileen Keran Room is named after the previous owner, who was the daughter of the Sompayrac’s, the second owners of the home. Mrs. Keran and her husband inherited the home after her parents’ death. The Keran Room is furnished with a Queen size antique white iron bed and an antique cedar shiftrobe for hang-up clothes—both of which, originally belonged to current owner Billy Barton’s grandmother and serve to welcome guests back to a time as peaceful and pleasant as a visit to Grandma’s.

The walls of both the bedroom and the private bath have been painted a soft green that invokes feelings of cheer and relaxation. The cottage windows are covered with crisp white embroidered voile curtains that pull back to offer a view of an old magnolia tree that is surrounded with ferns and azaleas below.
