The Sompayrac Room

The Sompayrac Room is furnished with a beautiful massive Tiger Oak Queen size bed with matching dresser purchased as a gift from the Barton’s son. A beautiful French armoire is furnished for hanging clothes. The lovely silk draperies covering the cottage window and the comforter have been custom made for the style of the furnishings.
The walls in the bedroom and bath have been painted a soft gray/orchid to give a peaceful and warm feeling to guests.
Some of the artwork displayed on the walls is New Orleans watercolors that were found tucked away in drawers in the home. They have been custom framed and matted to match the décor and to give dimension to the artwork. A beautiful oil painting of long stem cut roses was also purchased by the Barton’s son as a gift and hangs above the cottage windows.
